Preferred Best (#1 risk class): A no medical exam life insurance policy at the best health class for recreational scuba diving with a Basic Open Water certification, dives no deeper than 100 feet, and fewer than 10 dives annually is allowed. This is with Prudential Life Insurance Company for a no medical exam policy for those under 60 and the policy is less than $3 million.

Preferred (#2 risk class): Available for scuba diving 101-130 feet with a Basic Open Water certification and offers coverage up to $3 million if under 60 years old with Prudential.

Many life insurance companies will add a 'flat extra' of $2.50+ per $1,000 if you dive below 100 feet or more than 10 dives a year. This can get very expensive. We have policies that allow for up to 130 feet and unlimited dives if you are certified and don't do cave or salvage diving.
